The City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Beautification Foundation have partnered to create a new sign program to reduce clutter on the arterial streets and eliminate public safety hazards resulting from illegal signs in the right of way.
The 2nd annual Mayor’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award competition has come to a close with this year’s winner taking home a $30,000 award from Spirit Bank, with an additional $30,000 match from i2e. A private, non-profit corporation, i2e focuses on wealth creation in the technology-based industries.
Mayor Kathy Taylor was joined today by North Tulsa leaders to announce developments on economic incentives for the area.
Although 360 employees are moving to the new City Hall at One Technology Center this week,
walk-in personal customer services will remain at the Civic Center/City Hall location through September. Licensing and permit services for businesses and commercial development also will remain at the Hartford Building, 111 S. Greenwood, until late September. Numerous sections of City departments will move, but the public should not experience any impact until the end of September when the relocation is complete.
The largest group of employees to move at one time into One Technology began Thursday evening, July 17. On Monday, this group of 180 employees will begin the day at their new offices in City Hall at One Technology Center. A second group of employees, also totaling 180, will be moved into One Technology Center next weekend. The Mayor’s office staff also will be moved mid-week.
Mayor Kathy Taylor extended a welcome to the Bank of Oklahoma as the City of Tulsa’s newest tenant in the One Technology Center. BOk joins other OTC tenants, Deloitte and Touche and Level 3.
“This move has been a large undertaking involving hundreds of employees and a team of project managers,” Taylor said. “We appreciate the patience and assistance that our tenants have provided as we make the transition.”

These groups will be joining Public Works, Human Rights, and Information Technology employees who have already relocated to OTC. Subsequent moves are scheduled for Sept. 18, Sept. 23 and Sept. 25.
All City of Tulsa customer service areas currently located on the Street level of City Hall, including Employment Services, Cashiers (for paying bills and traffic tickets) and Utilities Personal Customer Services, will remain in the current City Hall until the end of September. Those customer service groups will move to the Street Level (2nd floor) of the One Technology Center by Sept. 30 where the public will have convenient access to payment, utility and employment services.
The payment drop boxes also remain at the current City Hall location until the move to One Technology Center is completed at the end of September.
